i have been photographing this family for a few years now and truly look forward to their session for one simple reason: lisa and john invest regularly in everyday “in the moment” photography. and let their kids be captured as they are. they don’t fuss when one of their beautiful kiddos is not interested in the camera. they are not afraid of letting their kids get dirty or involved in an art project during our session together. they laugh and let their children be themselves in all ways. and they truly enjoy and treasure the images that result.
imagine hiring a photographer to really capture your family interacting without being posed or prompted! it truly is photojournalism at its best. (and THIS photographer’s ideal type of photography.)
this family is so fun to be around. our sessions seem like we are hanging out in the backyard for a BBQ and i am just there as an invited guest snapping away with my expensive camera and lenses. (Hint Hint: It’s my dream to follow a family around where they are most comfortable/in their own element for a few hours to preserve their moments for them.) i admire these guys for making the investment in fun and quality photography a priority two times each year. enjoy some images from their ‘day in the life” session from a few weeks ago.
