a windy day at the old white barn…

for me so much emotion exists when i reflect upon images from a family session.  and it exists so much more powerfully when seen in repetitive frames…hence my obsession with collages.

one image can be emotive but several of them together just paint the portrait all the more clearly. are you with me? see i feel that single images are static. simple yes and magical for sure but totally static. when i look at single images placed on a page i find myself wanting more. i find myself curious as to what the next moment brought. wanting to investigate what you are feeling when you don’t think i have the camera on you. when the pressure of–‘let’s get a shot of this’ passes and we are onto the real moment. its fun to poke around and find the purity–the inscripted moments.

to me multiple frames equal movement, flow, energy and chemistry.

rather than just showing you a few moments–i am attempting to take you on a journey with us. i want to photojournalistically invite you along to witness a family’s magic.

come along on my journey with this adorable family and let me know if you agree.
