i could post photos all day long but let’s get serious for a second…weddings are so personal, so important, so intimate. obviously it’s one of the most important days of a couple’s life. to me it’s such an honor to even be invited to a wedding let alone asked to have the responsibility to capture the day as it unfolds. photography is not work to me. it’s a chance to express myself and to story tell with no words.

no doubt this one was very special to me. the bride and i lived on the same street for all of our childhood and although there were a few years between us we spent a lot of time together during the 70’s and 80’s. we spent time in each other’s pools, running up and down the street, making popsicles, plaster of paris figures, playing kickball and sledding and sleepovers. it was her brother, my sister and us for many years. and as usually happens as we age we all drifted into our respective corners of the world and time zipped by. {our parents still live on that street and are still friends after all these years (as we, above mentioned kids, are well into our mid 40’s now).} so when i was asked to be their photographer i was so honored. and i look at these images and smile not only for the love and connection that these two share but also for the connection we all once shared and for the strong memory of it all.

thanks K and D for flying me out to PA and for treating me so special on your wedding day. It was a lot of fun (and a bit of sweat–always so humid in PA) to be part of the celebration.

i wish you a lifetime of waving that terrible towel in all the {beaches} / places you travel to throughout your days together!
