its always a pleasure when i get an entire family behind the lens…particularly when the “kids” are older and on their own. i really respect when a family invests their time and money in documenting their beautiful family memories.
and i am particularly passionate about mothers and sons/daughters together for photos (as moms are typically the ones TAKING the photos over all of the years so they rarely actually appear in the photos!). i try to make an effort to concentrate on capturing these relationships in a classic way to be treasured as the years go on.
for this session the weather was not looking promising and as soon as i gathered up my gear and headed to Golden the rain drops began pelting the car. and the further i drove the heavier the rain fell. of course anyone from colorado knows we cherish ANY drops of moisture and certainly would not wish them away. but this was a photo shoot i knew wasn’t easy to coordinate with two grown sons off on their own in different directions (and different states). but i kept driving and kept hoping things would settle down once i got nearer to Golden.
and they did.
and the light remained constant and the drops became a thing of the past.
and we got some beautiful portraits of this beautiful family.
memories forever solidified. and the characters’ photos snapped, edited, printed and (soon to be) up on the walls to be cherished.
