when is the last time YOU updated your corporate profile head shots? these images are important in so many ways. you want them to convey your likeness for sure–but also a glimpse into who you really are and what you want your image to say about you. after all-isn’t an image worth at least a thousand words?
one of the most important tasks for the photographer is to help a client relax and not fear the camera. it’s a challenge for sure. trust me–i know first hand the fears of being on the other side of the camera. i truly dislike it. immensely. but during sessions with me we enjoy walking together, talk together and genuinely get to know each other before the camera even comes out of the bag. making people feel at ease is something that comes naturally to me.
before photography i worked in professional development and HR. when consulting a nervous candidate about a job interview i would offer the advice that an interview is just a conversation with a purpose. same is true of our photo sessions together. we are there to spend some time together and hang out with the purpose of capturing you and your family at this time in your lives. honest and simple.
just like me.
look at how beautiful this client is. her smile speaks volumes about her and the kindness and confidence in her eyes just radiates. the image gives us a better “picture” of who she is and you are introduced to her without words. i love that about photography. images are powerful and intangible rhetoric.
