you’ve got family in town i hear? cool–let’s meet at the old barn and get some professional photos taken!
i am honored that a former therapist for my son contacted me two years after finishing up with us and asked me to do their family portraits this year! it was exciting to see the changes in her as she’s become a mom to the sweetest (and cutest) little guy! their family is beautiful and they are so so so in love with that him!
but i’ve gotta tell you about this old white barn…it truly has a gravitation pull to it for me. i honestly drove by this place for three years or so lusting after it’s natural beauty, exquisite falling light and rustic textures and wondering how i could entice the owners to allow me to use the space for a photo shoot or two. it took me a while to muster up some courage only to find out that it is indeed public land-open for everyday use. now i just can’t get enough of this place. it has multiple personalities under different light complete with hidden pockets of outstanding backlit areas that are perfect for dramatic portraits. i think this spot has it all so i was thrilled to know that it was super convenient for this family to meet here! yeah old rustic white barn!
thanks J for remembering me and my passion for portraits. i had a blast during our early (and chilly) morning shoot a few weeks ago. your family was so fun, it was easy to capture the love and laughter of your time together as a family.
congratulations again on that super cute little meatball of yours! i look forward to watching him grow.
