i think darcy is one of the most beautiful moms i know-both inside and out. she is sweet, kind, considerate, fun, passionate and just in love with life with her husband and son. speaking of which- look at her beautiful boy… isn’t he just lovely! those curls are the sweetest!
as a mom myself i am in awe of just how quickly time passes. it seems like just a few days ago that my boys were this little… there aren’t many images of me being a mom (nor many of me playing with the boys) and for that i am regretful. so it’s no surprise when my passion ignites when photographing moms with their kids. (more often than not moms are the ones taking all of the photos and are never actually IN them–right?) the bond between parents and their little ones is so precious, so strong. it’s the stuff life is made of.
it was mostly sunny when we met to do our portrait session. (and darcy drove from ERIE, CO to littleton for our session–she’s so loyal to me and i love it!) the light was so bright that i was getting nervous and was thankful that i packed my polarizer, ND filter and reflector. but as we walked down the path to one of my favorite spots the clouds gathered and stayed put for well over an hour. it was so so perfect. the combination of the light, the magical connection between these two and the spot we selected all worked so well together to make things just perfect. and i am just in love with these images.
so moms (and dads) the message here is to take the time to get professional photos with your kiddos. time passes swiftly and the photo memories should be good ones that will last a lifetime . i have a limited number of sessions available in june and august if you are interested in making some memories together!
