i adore when people gather. i adore families who laugh, know how to have fun together and like to be photographed.
why is it that most people only think to hire a photographer for weddings? events like a family Easter brunch are just as historic and worthy of documentation. when families get together it is history in the making. it’s beautiful and full of juicy and vibrant memories. i LOVE that this family knew it was important to have a photographer present for their recent family gathering.
in addition to adoring the art of photographing every day events in people’s lives–one of my many passions is to make sure moms and grand moms get photographed with their children/grandchildren. (usually most moms are BEHIND the camera most of the time–so i make sure to take the time to get beautiful portraits for mom to treasure.) and in honor of mother’s day i want to post some of my favorites from this family’s session. powerful images that transcend time and capture the powerful bonds that exist. portraits make such strong and timeless statements.
thanks jen for contacting me, braving the crazy early spring weather in colorado and for being dedicated to documenting this special day in your lives.
