rose and the boys 2010 version

how lucky am i to meet and also befriend interesting, vibrant and fun families over the years?  i met rose and her boys three years ago and  have been doing their annual holiday photos ever since.  i’ve watched the boys grow up up up over the years.  (they are getting so big so fast and more and more handsome each year i might add).  but rose and mark don’t seem to age and, in fact also getting better looking as well!  what a neat family with fun traditions and a fun rapport among them.

we usually take the portraits in and around their backyard.  there we get fun portraits mixed with familiar backgrounds to create powerful memories of times together on their own turf.  this year we skipped tradition and headed to morrison–one of my favorite spots to shoot at. rather than climb the predictable trails of red rocks we opted for a fun adventure through the eclectic, funky town.

they picked the perfect colors to compliment their lovely complexions and beautiful eyes with the muted early december foliate as our canvas.  the light was magical at the end of the day and the portraits were  just perfect.

thanks, as always for trusting me to capture your family portraits.  i adore you guys!

Thanks MB! You always make us look better than we actually do and compliment us more than we deserve. Love you.
