the best time to book a session…{littleton family photographer}

when IS the best time to book a session?  well, i’m glad you asked…

to me, the best time to book a family photo session is now–when photographers are not busy.  early spring is a wonderful time for a session since the backgrounds are simple, the light is gentle and the temps are mild.  the artist in me loves this time of year…

the colors are so gentle that anything you photograph just pops.  i mean–look at these kiddos–THEY shine rather than the backgrounds which is how is should be!

this time of year we have more access to fields that get overgrown during the summer.  the cloudy skies act as a wonderful natural softbox and the temps are pretty cooperative.  keeping the backgrounds simple allows for more creativity.

kids can run through the fields and just be themselves!  i love the freedom a simple background promises.

we get to see personalities and relationships captured in the images.

and i have the luxury as an artist to have extra time to capture my true passion–individual portraits…digging deep into those private moments that may slip away when you are rushed to finish a session due to time or sun issues (which happens quite frequently here in colorado.)

lots of different outfits and moods captured…

and a relaxed session with lots of images for clients to choose from…

this family was just so fun to work with!  it was chilly when we started and no one complained!  (i always have warm blankets!) and we had a lot of fun letting the kids be kids.

i am currently booking (and offering some specials) for the week of spring break!  i’d love to work with you and your family to capture images to last a lifetime!
